Japanese meals imports are restricted in Macao on account of radioactive water

Following the Japanese authorities’s choice to start dumping nuclear-contaminated water into the ocean on Thursday, the federal government of China’s Macao Special Administration Region (SAR) said on Wednesday that it might prohibit the import of meals from the nation’s ten prefectures and areas of Japan.

The choice was revealed in a Chief Executive (CE) order revealed within the official gazette of the Macao SAR authorities and can take impact on Thursday.

The restriction will apply to the import of dwell and recent meals gadgets, animal meals merchandise, sea salt and seaweed, in addition to greens, fruits, milk and milk merchandise, aquatic items and their derivatives, meat and meat merchandise, and poultry eggs, amongst different merchandise.
