TASHKENT, Oct. 9 (Xinhua) — Japan’s profitable streak ended on the third day of the 2022 Judo World Championships as Brazil and Mongolia gained a gold medal every on Saturday.
Brazil’s judoka Rafaela Silva, 2016 Rio Olympic champion, defeated Japan’s Funakubo Haruka within the girls’s -57kg class closing by a waza-ari.
Canada’s Jessica Klimkait and Mongolia’s Enkhriilen Lkhagvatogoo bagged the bronze within the class. China’s Cai Qi did not make the second spherical.
In the lads’s -73kg class, Mongolia’s Olympic medallist Tsogtbaatar Tsend Ochir beat Soichi Hashimoto of Japan to say the gold. At the very finish of the competitors, Hashimoto launched a sweep that was completely countered in masterful style by Tsend Ochir.
Brazil’s Daniel Cargnin and Azerbaijan’s Hidayat Heydarov shared the bronze. China’s Qing Daga misplaced to Canada’s Arthur Margelidon within the second spherical.
Japan had already bagged 4 golds from the primary two days and topped the medal tally. The Judo World Championships runs from October 6 to 13.
