Akiko Abe’s Novel ‘Cafuné’ Wins 2025 Japan Booksellers Award

Akiko Abe’s novel Cafuné, revealed by Kodansha, has been awarded the 2025 Japan Booksellers Award, which honors the e-book booksellers most wish to promote. The announcement was made on April ninth.

At the awards ceremony held in Tokyo, 39-year-old Abe expressed her gratitude, saying, “I’ve received a great gift. I want to become a novelist who can write truly good stories.”
