At round 6:30 p.m., Yurie Sato allegedly swiped the three Hermes purses — value roughly 3.9 million yen — from the store in Dogenzaka.
As she fled, she sprayed pepper spray at a feminine retailer clerk in her 20s who chased her.
During questioning, Sato admitted to the costs. “I wanted the bags,” she mentioned. “So, I took a few and ran away. The store clerk chased me, so I sprayed her with pepper spray.”
According to police, a person who witnessed the crime exterior the store apprehended Sato about 50 meters away. He then handed her over to a police officer.
