UN’s report reemphasises improvement is our first defence towards local weather change: Environment minister

Sapporo [Japan], April 15 (ANI): Union Minister for Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Bhupender Yadav, on Saturday stated the UN report (IPCC AR 6 Report) reemphasises that improvement is our first defence towards local weather change. The report reinforces the scientific view that carbon dioxide (CO2) is the first greenhouse gases (GHG) that must be drastically decreased to attain the worldwide temperature objective as agreed within the Paris Agreement.

Addressing the plenary session at G7 Ministers’ Meeting on Climate, Energy and Environment in Sapporo, Japan on Saturday, he stated the worldwide objective of reaching internet zero by 2050 requires enhanced descaling of emissions by the developed nations.
