Lake Inawashiro in Fukushima Prefecture, which is called a migratory place for swans, has begun the “Northern Return”, the place swans spend the winter flying to their breeding grounds such because the Arctic Circle.
Mr. Ken Kitami of the “Inawashiro Lake Nature Conservation Society”, who has been observing swans for a few years, mentioned, “This year, the return trip to the north began about a week early. The swans that flew away are doing well again with their children. I feel like I’m sending you back,” he mentioned.
Swans on Lake Inawashiro’s return to the north could be seen all through March.
