Regular Flights Between Fukuoka and Taiwan’s Kaohsiung Resume After 9 Years

FUKUOKA, Apr 17 (News On Japan) –
An everyday flight route between Fukuoka and Kaohsiung in southern Taiwan resumed on April fifteenth for the primary time in 9 years, operated by Taiwan’s China Airlines.

A flight from Kaohsiung landed at Fukuoka Airport to mark the restart of the service. The newly resumed route will function as much as 4 instances per week, with one spherical journey per working day. Departures from Fukuoka are scheduled at 11:50 a.m., arriving in Kaohsiung at 1:40 p.m., whereas return flights depart Kaohsiung at 7:05 a.m. and arrive in Fukuoka at 10:50 a.m.

China Airlines had suspended the route in March 2016 on account of restrictions on takeoff and touchdown slots at Fukuoka Airport. However, with the opening of a second runway on the airport final month, the airline has determined to renew the service.

A traveler famous, “Until now, I had to fly to Taipei and take the Shinkansen to Kaohsiung, which took over two hours. A direct flight is much more convenient.”
