Russia’s state-run news agency reported on the 19th that President Putin visited Mariupol, a key city in Donetsk province in eastern Ukraine, which was unilaterally annexed last September.
Putin’s visit to Donetsk is said to be the first since Russia’s military invasion of Ukraine, and is believed to be aimed at demonstrating control over Russian-held territories.
