“Potential Energy” by Western New Mexico University student Yen Chu will open with a reception at WNMU Francis McCray Gallery on December 1 at 7 p.m.
Yen Chu’s exhibition, “Potential Energy,” is an exploration of how one’s relationship with the self as well as their environment is reflected through materialism. By visualizing the search for self-actualization through our habitual accumulation and waste of things, Chu examines the environment that humans have constructed for themselves as our forgotten ephemera increasingly clutters our surroundings.
