The Phillies might be nicely represented within the Home Run Derby on Monday in Philadelphia.

Kyle Schwarber introduced Friday that he’s becoming a member of Phillies teammate Bryce Harper within the exhibition at Citizens Bank Park.

Chicago White Sox first baseman Munetaka Murakami, who returned from the injured record on Friday after lacking 35 video games, was revealed on Friday evening because the eighth and closing member of the derby. The 26-year-old rookie from Japan slugged 20 homers in 57 video games earlier than happening the IL with an injured hamstring.

Tampa Bay Rays third baseman Junior Caminero, New York Yankees first baseman Ben Rice, Kansas City Royals outfielder Jac Caglianone, St. Louis Cardinals proper fielder Jordan Walker and Boston Red Sox first baseman Willson Contreras even have been confirmed as individuals.

Schwarber, who leads the majors with 32 homers this season, reached the finals of the Home Run Derby in 2018. The then-Chicago Cubs slugger misplaced to Harper, who was then a member of the Nationals and the All-Star festivities had been held in Washington.

Schwarber’s final foray within the Home Run Derby did not go so nicely. He misplaced within the first spherical in 2022.
