Ex-GungHo exec arrested over ¥40 million pretend contract rip-off – TokyoReporter

TOKYO (TR) – Police have arrested a former government of main smartphone sport developer GungHo Online Entertainment for allegedly defrauding the corporate out of roughly 40 million yen by means of fictitious enterprise contracts, studies Nippon News Network (July 10).

Takanori Kikuchi, the corporate’s former methods division basic supervisor, is accused of fabricating exterior orders for system bug detection work in 2022. Leveraging his place and authority to approve company contracts, Kikuchi allegedly routed the corporate’s payouts immediately into his private checking account.

During questioning by the Tokyo Metropolitan Police, Kikuchi admitted to the allegations.

However, investigators imagine the 40-million-yen theft was merely the tip of the iceberg. Police suspect Kikuchi repeatedly used the identical misleading scheme over time to pocket roughly 100 million yen in complete from the gaming large. The investigation is ongoing.
