Man steals bag from 95-year-old lady in Nagoya distraction theft – TokyoReporter

AICHI (TR) – Police in Nagoya are attempting to find a person who openly stole a bag from a 95-year-old lady after distracting her by asking for instructions, stories TV Asahi (June 10).

The incident occurred because the aged sufferer was pushing a walker by a residential space on her solution to buy groceries.

According to police, a person believed to be in his 40s or 50s approached her from the other way and requested for the best way to a vacation spot.

When the lady kindly rotated and pointed to point out him the route, the suspect seized the chance. By the time she turned again to face him, the person had utterly vanished—together with a tote bag she had left resting on prime of her walker.

The stolen bag contained a pockets with roughly 20,000 yen in money.

Police have condemned the malicious scheme focusing on the aged and are at present monitoring the suspect’s whereabouts on suspicion of theft.
