The Fair Trade Commission has launched an on-site investigation into the Japanese subsidiary of the American bike big Harley-Davidson, suspecting it of imposing extreme gross sales quotas on its sellers in violation of antitrust legal guidelines.
According to sources, Harley-Davidson Japan allegedly set unreasonably excessive gross sales targets for its approved sellers beginning round 2020 to 2021. These quotas have been reportedly tough to satisfy via regular enterprise operations. Dealers have been knowledgeable that failure to satisfy these targets might consequence within the non-renewal of their dealership contracts.
