Aichi-Nagoya [Japan], September 21 (ANI): Indian all-rounder Washington Sundar shared a glimpse of his time in Japan with teammate and wicketkeeper-batter Sanju Samson, posting an image of the duo having fun with the wet climate below clear umbrellas.
In the image, Sundar may be seen posing for a selfie whereas Samson stands behind him, flashing a thumbs-up and a victory signal. The duo gave the impression to be having fun with town lights and rain throughout their outing.
Sharing the image on X, Sundar captioned it, ‘Clear umbrella and Tokyo lights #oneofakind.’

Meanwhile, the India males’s cricket crew will put on the BCCI jersey for its historic One-Off T20I match in opposition to Japan, whereas the crew has acquired its official Asian Games equipment for the rest of the event, a Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports (MYAS) supply informed ANI on Saturday.
‘Team India will put on the BCCI jersey for the match in opposition to Japan. The crew has acquired its Asian Games equipment for the remainder of the event, and the problem has been resolved,’ the MYAS supply mentioned.
The twentieth Asian Games are being held in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan, from September 19 to October 4, with India collaborating throughout 36 sports activities. India, which clinched the Gold medal within the earlier version of the Asian Games, will play their first match on the 2026 version on September 28 within the quarter-final stage.
The MYAS supply additional clarified that the match in opposition to Japan is a pleasant fixture and isn’t a part of the Asian Games competitors, which is why the crew will play in its common equipment.
‘The crew will play the match in opposition to Japan of their regular equipment because the match would not belong to the Asian Games; it is a pleasant match. But for the remainder of the event, the dimensions difficulty has been resolved, and so they have acquired their equipment for the event,’ the MYAS supply added.
The clarification comes after issues over the supply and sizing of the official equipment for the Indian crew forward of its marketing campaign on the continental multi-sport occasion. The Suzuki Cup will happen on the Sano International Cricket Ground in Tochigi Prefecture on September 22.
