ABU DHABI, twenty eighth January, 2025 (WAM) — The twenty second version of the Abu Dhabi Festival is ready to open on seventh February with the Arab world premiere of the New Japan Philharmonic Orchestra led by legendary conductor Yutaka Sado that includes Tenor Star Jonathan Tetelman.
The occasion is adopted by a second live performance on eighth February that includes celebrated pianist Kyohei Sorita on the Emirates Palace in Abu Dhabi.
Organised by the Abu Dhabi Music & Arts Foundation (ADMAF), this yr’s pageant is held beneath the inspiring theme ‘Abu Dhabi – A World of Harmony,’ and celebrates over 50 years of friendship between the UAE and its nation of honour: Japan.
The pageant’s inaugural live performance will current the star tenor Jonathan Tetelman, who will carry Puccini’s Manon Lescaut, Le Villi, and Turandot to life along with his magnificent voice.
Joining the night is well known pianist Kyohei Sorita, a silver medallist on the 2021 Chopin Competition, performing Rachmaninov’s Piano Concerto No. 2. The orchestra can even carry out Dvoak’s Symphony No. 9 (From the New World), a symphonic masterpiece impressed by the composer’s experiences in America.
On eighth February, the second headline efficiency will see Kyohei Sorita return to the stage to carry out Tchaikovsky’s Piano Concerto No. 1, and the orchestra performs Yasushi Akutagawa’s Triptyque for Strings and Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 5 a piece that explores themes of destiny and triumph.
