Shunsuke Izumiya, who gained the boys’s 110-meter hurdles with a time that was near his personal Japanese report, stated, “I thought I could aim for the Japanese record because the conditions were good, but I was a little short. I need to improve from the middle to the end. I don’t think I can improve my time from here. I want to be able to keep up with the Japanese Championships next month and the World Championships in August.”
