TOKYO (TR) – Prosecutors have determined to not prosecute a Korean man over the alleged sexual assault of a feminine highschool pupil at a college dormitory earlier this 12 months, experiences TV Asahi (Nov. 25).
On March 4, Shin Kang-hyun, 31, is alleged to have sexually assaulted the lady inside a room of a dormitory at Hitotsubashi University.
Upon his arrest on suspicion of non-consensual sexual activity in September, Shin partially denied the costs. “It’s true that I touched her, but I didn’t do anything more than that,” he mentioned.
On Tuesday, the Tachikawa department of the Tokyo District Public Prosecutors Office determined to not prosecute Shin. No purpose for non-prosecution was disclosed.
At the time of the incident, the defendant was a pupil on the college. According to the Kodaira Police Station, Shin and the lady met by a language-learning app. She had beforehand expressed curiosity in studying Korean language and tradition. Shin then advised they meet in particular person.
On the day of the incident, the 2 had lunch collectively. Afterward, the defendant invited her to “see the university.” The alleged assault occurred in his room within the dormitory.
The lady and her mom lodged a report with police two days later. She graduated from the college that very same month.
