As the Hina Matsuri (Doll Festival) is approaches, an occasion is being held to gather disused hina dolls from households and show them collectively in Kyotango City, Kyoto Prefecture.
Lined up in rows, there are roughly 1,500 hina dolls. These dolls, displayed at “Komachi’s House [小町の舎]”, the place the legendary magnificence Ono no Komachi is alleged to have spent her later years, have watched over the expansion of youngsters in every family and have now accomplished their duties.
Some of the dolls date again to the top of the Edo interval, permitting guests to benefit from the adjustments in costumes over time.
The exhibition will run till March 5.
