FUKUOKA (TR) – Police in Fukuoka City have arrested a senior member of a Yamaguchi-gumi affiliated gang and a subordinate for allegedly slicing off a person’s ear with a field cutter, studies the Asahi Shimbun (May 21).
Seiji Iwanaga, 47, and gang member Yu Wakisaka, 46, face prices of assault leading to harm and witness intimidation.
Police haven’t disclosed whether or not the suspects have admitted to the allegations.
According to police, the suspects took a person in his 30s — who operates a chosen driving service — right into a mountainous space in Fukuoka’s Sawara Ward late at night time in December 2024.
There, the gangsters allegedly introduced the sufferer with quite a lot of weapons and ordered him to “hurry up and choose.” Using the field cutter the terrified man chosen, the suspects severed his proper ear.

The assault left the sufferer with solely his earlobe. However, the severed portion of the ear was handed again to him instantly after the incident. He later underwent reattachment surgical procedure at a hospital.
