The Japan Meteorological Agency has raised the volcanic alert stage for the world round Mt. Shirane and the Yugama crater on the Gunma facet of Mt. Kusatsu-Shirane to Level 2, limiting entry close to the crater resulting from a rise in volcanic earthquakes.
