NEW YORK, Dec. 20 (Xinhua) — The U.S. dollar weakened in late buying and selling on Friday.

The dollar index, which measures the buck towards six main friends, decreased by 0.73 % to 107.622 at 3:00 p.m. (2000 GMT).

In late New York buying and selling, the euro superior to 1.0445 U.S. {dollars} from 1.0362 {dollars} within the earlier session, and the British pound climbed to 1.2599 {dollars} from 1.2505 {dollars} within the earlier session.

The U.S. dollar purchased 156.00 Japanese yen, decrease than 157.43 Japanese yen of the earlier session. The U.S. dollar dropped to 0.8918 Swiss francs from 0.8983 Swiss francs, and it declined to 1.4353 Canadian {dollars} from 1.4388 Canadian {dollars}. The U.S. dollar was all the way down to 11.0087 Swedish Kronor from 11.0322 Swedish Kronor.
