TOKYO, Jan 23 (News On Japan) –
As restore work continues Tuesday afternoon on a bit of railway that has halted operations of three Shinkansen traces, the Tohoku, Hokuriku, and Joetsu, two male staff had been electrocuted and subsequently hospitalized.
According to JR East, at round 10:00 AM on Tuesday, a sagging overhead wire was found on the tracks in Saitama City. This has led to the continued suspension of providers on elements of the Tohoku Shinkansen and different traces.
The Saitama City Fire Department obtained a report round 2:45 PM from native residents, stating, “Something is burning along the railway.”
Two male workers of a JR East subcontractor, who had been engaged in restoration work close to the halted Shinkansen practice, are believed to have suffered electrical shocks leading to burns. A person in his fifties sustained critical accidents, whereas one other in his forties suffered minor accidents.
Both people had been transported to a hospital in Saitama City, the place they’re at the moment receiving medical therapy.
