TOKYO (TR) – A 28-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly hitting two male bystanders with a modified automobile on a road in Ota Ward final week.
The man is believed to have made a mistake whereas partaking in harmful “drift driving,” stories TBS News (Dec. 28).
At round 2:15 a.m. on December 27, Takato Tsukiji is suspected of driving the modified automobile on a road in Tokai and onto the median, hitting two 19-year-old males.
The two males suffered severe accidents, together with fractures, police stated. After the incident, Tsukiji fled the scene.
Upon his arrest on suspicion of negligent driving leading to harm and different fees, Tsukiji, who lives in Kawasaki City, Kanagawa Prefecture, denied the allegations.
“I didn’t realize I had hit someone,” he stated. However, he defined the crash into the central divider by saying, “I mishandled the steering wheel.”
According to police, the incident occurred on a six-lane highway often known as a gathering place for drivers and spectators of drifting. Police had obtained quite a few complaints up to now.
