The Tokaido Shinkansen had suspended operations on the outbound line between Tokyo Station and Maibara Station in Shiga Prefecture as a result of a report of a suspicious object on board at Toyohashi Station in Aichi Prefecture. The practice resumed operations at round 9:10 p.m., when it was confirmed that it was protected.
According to the police, once they investigated the scene, it was confirmed that the suspicious object was rubbish.
