TOKYO –
Three feminine lions at Tama Zoological Park have died in succession after struggling dehydration and a number of organ failure, with heatstroke suspected because the trigger.
The lions have been named Mugi, Ichigo and Luena.
The zoo had been maintaining 16 lions, 10 of which confirmed signs together with lack of urge for food and decreased exercise.
Tama Zoological Park stated it would strengthen measures to guard the animals from the warmth.
