Taiwan TSMC formally proclaims building of Japan’s second semiconductor manufacturing facility in Kumamoto Prefecture | NHK

Taiwan’s TSMC, the world’s largest contract producer of semiconductors, has formally introduced that it’s going to construct Japan’s second semiconductor manufacturing facility in Kumamoto Prefecture. In addition to the Sony Group and others, Toyota Motor Corporation has newly invested within the firm that may function the manufacturing facility, and the funding quantity together with the primary manufacturing facility will exceed 2.96 trillion yen in Japanese yen.
