KYOTO (TR) – Kyoto Prefectural Police this week arrested a male Swiss nationality at a railway station within the city of Seikacho after he abruptly pulled out a knife and commenced to behave violently, stories Mainichi Broadcasting System (Feb. 11).
Around 6:30 a.m. on February 11, police had been alerted with a report of “a foreigner with a knife” on the platform of JR Hosono Station on the JR Gakkentoshi Line.
Officers arriving on the scene arrested the unnamed man, 27, for violating the Swords and Firearms Control Law. There had been no accidents within the incident, police mentioned.
Prior to the incident, a station employees member known as out to the person after he collapsed on the platform with blood coming from his brow. He then abruptly pulled out a knife and commenced to behave violently.
The station employees took the knife away from the person and apprehended him.
West Japan Railway, the operator of the road and station, later performed an inspection on the platform. Two trains had been canceled and three had been delayed, the railway mentioned.
