On the other hand, according to a French foreign ministry official, President Macron said at the meeting that China, which has close ties with Russia, asked China not to supply any weapons to Russia, which is continuing its military aggression.

Afterwards, President Xi also held talks with EU Chairman von der Leyen.

At the press conference after the meeting, Chairman von der Leyen said that he had raised the issue of Taiwan in the meeting with the Chinese side, saying, “Stability within the Taiwan Strait is extraordinarily necessary, and we are going to unilaterally change the present scenario on this area by pressure. You should not,” he said.

According to China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in response, President Xi emphasized that the Taiwan issue is the core of China’s core interests, and that if China is expected to compromise or make concessions on the Taiwan issue, it is delusional.
