Students of IIT Roorkee awarded with HORIBA Talent Hunt Scholarship 2022-23

Roorkee (Uttarakhand) [India], April 3 (ANI): Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee (IIT Roorkee) indicators a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Horiba India Pvt. Ltd, below the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative by HORIBA India on the IIT Roorkee campus on Monday.

As many as 18 undergraduate college students had been awarded the HORIBA Talent Hunt Scholarship 2022-23.

HORIBA India, an entirely owned subsidiary of HORIBA, Ltd., Japan, supported a one-time partial tuition payment waiver for these UG college students from 10 totally different departments excelling of their academia.

Under the MoU, HORIBA India shall present assist by CSR to determine a “one-time Partial Fee Waiver” to assist college students from the UG (EWS) class in IIT Roorkee, which shall be generally known as the HORIBA Talent Hunt Scholarship for payment waiver of UG Students.

The scholarship was collectively awarded by IIT Roorkee Director, Professor Ok Ok Pant and Dr Rajeev Gautam, Corporate Officer, HORIBA, Ltd., President, HORIBA India and an alumnus of IIT Roorkee, to a gaggle of 18 meritorious awardees.

18 college students of varied undergraduate programmes, availing 2/3 tuition payment waiver, have been chosen for HORIBA Talent Hunt Scholarship for the Academic 12 months 2022-23.

An award ceremony was organized the place the scholars had been felicitated by IIT Roorkee officers, together with Professor Ok Ok Pant, Director, Prof. Partha Roy, Dean of Resources and Alumni Affairs (DORA), Prof. Dheeraj Khatod, Chairperson, Senate Committee for Scholarship and Prizes (SCSP), Prof. Sandeep Singh, Department of Earth Sciences and HORIBA official, particularly Dr Rajeev Gautam, Corporate Officer, HORIBA, Ltd., Japan and President, HORIBA India Private Limited, who can also be an alumnus of IIT Roorkee.

Congratulating all of the awardees for his or her laborious work, Prof. Ok Ok Pant, Director, IIT Roorkee, mentioned, “I encourage students to continue giving their best to achieve many such laurels. Students should never forget the alma matter, which will help them in lifelong growth and always give back to society and the institute. “Prof. Partha Roy thanked HORIBA India for this initiative. He motivated all the scholars to have a visionary purpose alike the profitable alumnus of IIT Roorkee.
