HOKKAIDO (TR) – The Sapporo City authorities has terminated public works contracts with a contractor after a video posted on social media revealed incidents of violence inside the firm, reviews HBC News (May 15).
In the footage, the president of Hanai-gumi, a building firm primarily based in Nishi Ward, is proven repeatedly assaulting staff. In one case, he slaps a seated male worker after which jumps atop him.
In response to this, Hanai-gumi requested on May 13 the termination of six public works contracts it had acquired from Sapporo City. The metropolis terminated all of them the next day.
According to the town, the general public works tasks included the set up of recent sewage pipes and earthquake-proofing work for drainage pipes. Hanai-gumi suspended work on the roles on May 8.
