Illustrator and satirical artist Shōji Yamatō handed away on Monday morning resulting from pure causes. He was 87 years previous. In his famend column for the Weekly Asahi, which began in 1976, he grew to become well-known for his distinctive caricatures of politicians and public figures, gaining reputation via his sharp social satire.
After working at an promoting manufacturing firm, Yamatō started his profession as a contract illustrator in 1964.
