TOKYO, June 11 (Xinhua) — Japan’s climate company on Sunday stated the wet season has formally begun throughout the nation, as most areas are experiencing soggy climate.
The starting of the season was introduced as three native areas of Hokuriku, Southern Tohoku and Northern Tohoku entered the interval, in accordance with a preliminary report by Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA).
Featuring cloudy and wet days, the wet season can also be a time when disasters brought on by heavy rain are prone to happen, stated the JMA.
The report may even replace the ending of the wet season based mostly on climate progresses and outlooks, it added.
Regions in western Japan entered the wet season on May 29, whereas it started in Tokyo and close by prefectures on Thursday, a day later than ordinary.
The season, which usually lasts one month and a half, doesn’t happen within the nation’s northernmost prefecture of Hokkaido.
