October 14th is “Railway Day”is. “Railway Day” was established to commemorate the opening of Japan’s first railway on October 14, 1896.
Events have been held in varied locations, and in Yamaguchi Prefecture, trains have been operated for the primary time in eight years within the “Setouchi shade” shade scheme that was used on the Sanyo Main Line throughout the former Japanese National Railways period.
