NTT West subsidiary former short-term worker arrested over private data leak challenge by Okayama Prefectural Police | NHK

A former short-term worker of a subsidiary of NTT West leaked greater than 9 million items of non-public data from native governments and corporations, together with illegally taking buyer data from firms in Okayama Prefecture and leaking it to an inventory company. Interviews with investigators revealed that the prefectural police headquarters arrested a former short-term worker in his 60s on suspicion of violating the Unfair Competition Prevention Act.
