YAMANASHI, Jul 03 (News On Japan) –
The Yoshida Trail on the Yamanashi aspect of Mount Fuji (3,776 meters) formally opened to climbers on July 1st. Under clear skies, hikers welcomed the season with cheers because the rising solar forged a glowing orange hue by means of the summit clouds.
At the fifth station gate, new security measures have been launched to forestall underprepared climbers and so-called “bullet climbers” who try in a single day ascents with out correct relaxation. The gate now closes at 2:00 p.m.—two hours sooner than final 12 months—and the entry payment has been doubled to 4,000 yen.
“Mount Fuji Rangers,” prefectural workers stationed close to the gate, are offering security steering and now have expanded authority to show again climbers missing applicable gear.
Three extra trails on the Shizuoka aspect of the mountain are set to open on July tenth. The climbing season runs by means of September tenth on each side of the mountain.
