New Delhi [India], July 22 (ANI): Maruti Suzuki India Limited has introduced the graduation of admissions for the primary batch at its newly launched Japan-India Institute for Manufacturing (JIM) in Sonipat, which marks the auto main’s fourth JIM in India and its second in Haryana.
The institute, positioned on the Master Atul Government ITI in Sonipat, is ready to confess over 100 college students yearly throughout 4 key trades: Mechanic Motor Vehicle (MMV), Machinist, Welder, and Fitter.
Classes for the inaugural batch are scheduled to start in September 2025. Maruti Suzuki has invested over Rs 10 crore in establishing the power.
Affiliated with the National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT) and accredited by Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI), the JIM will implement a twin coaching system.
This strategy blends theoretical classroom instruction with hands-on industrial coaching, and contains modules on security, high quality, self-discipline, kaizen, and different important Japanese manufacturing practices.
Gaurav Gautam, Haryana’s Minister of State for Youth Empowerment & Entrepreneurship, praised Maruti Suzuki for contributing to the state’s financial growth.
He stated, ‘Maruti Suzuki’s dedication to talent growth in Haryana by its state-of-the-art JIMs at Uncha Majra and now at Sonipat is actually commendable.’
Rahul Bharti, Senior Executive Officer, Corporate Affairs at Maruti Suzuki, emphasised the corporate’s dedication to talent growth.
‘We are assured JIM Sonipat will improve employability and instill a disciplined work ethic rooted in world-class manufacturing requirements,’ he stated.
The undertaking is a results of a public-private partnership below which the Haryana authorities has supplied land and infrastructure, whereas Maruti Suzuki has upgraded the services, launched real-life simulation meeting strains, and can oversee the institute’s operations.
The JIMs are a part of a broader Indo-Japanese collaboration aimed toward coaching 30,000 Indian youth over 10 years. Since inception, over 2,100 college students have graduated from Maruti Suzuki’s present JIMs.
Through its broader talent growth initiatives, Maruti Suzuki has supported 23 ITIs, established 31 Automobile Skill Enhancement Centres, and spent over Rs 450 crore in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) contributions as much as Financial Year 2024-25. (ANI)
