Man wields knife in theft of ¥150,000, carton of smokes in Kawasaki – TokyoReporter

KANAGAWA (TR) – A person wielded a knife at a retailer clerk in Kawasaki City on Saturday earlier than stealing roughly 150,000 yen in money and fleeing, police stated, studies Nippon News Network (Nov. 16).

At round 6:00 p.m., the spouse of the proprietor of the shop in Kokura, Saiwai Ward known as police to report that somebody was holding her husband at knifepoint and making an attempt to power him to open the register.

The perpetrator then stole roughly 150,000 yen in money and a carton of cigarettes earlier than fleeing.

There have been no different prospects within the retailer on the time. The clerk was not injured.

The man who fled the shop was in his 40s or 50s. He was carrying a grey sweater, black pants, a white hat and glasses.

Police are investigating the incident as a theft.
