A 52-year-old restaurant operator was sentenced to 17 years in jail on September 4 for killing his former girlfriend by repeatedly stabbing her within the stomach and again with two kitchen knives at his dwelling in Higashiosaka, Osaka Prefecture.
The Osaka District Court handed down the sentence to Hiroshi Nagahisa, who was charged with murdering his former girlfriend, Arisa Sato, 33, in October 2025.
Nagahisa had admitted to the cost throughout his lay decide trial.
