LG Manoj Sinha will take steps to safe Mata Vaishnodevi pilgrimage yatra: J-Ok LoP

Reasi (Jammu and Kashmir) [India], August 31 (ANI): Jammu and Kashmir Leader of Opposition Sunil Sharma on Sunday stated that Lieutenant Governor (LG) Manoj Sinha will ‘take steps’ to make Mata Vaishnodevi pilgrimage yatra ‘safe’ sooner or later days after greater than 30 folks misplaced their lives in a landslide that befell close to Ardhkuwari on August 26

Meanwhile, on Thursday, Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has ordered the structure of a high-level three-member committee to research the causes of the landslide that occurred on August 26 close to Adhkuwari en path to the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi shrine.

Shaleen Kabra, Additional Chief Secretary of the Department of Jal Shakti, Jammu and Kashmir, will head the committee, which incorporates the Divisional Commissioner and the Inspector General of Police, Jammu, in keeping with an official order.

The committee has been tasked to conduct an in depth investigation and submit its report inside two weeks to LG Sinha, who can also be the chairman of the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board (SMVDSB), it stated.
