Tokyo [Japan], April 20 (ANI): A strong earthquake with a magnitude of seven.5 struck northeastern and northern Japan on Monday, with a tsunami warning issued, the nation’s climate company mentioned.
An 80-centimeter tsunami was noticed at Kuji port in Iwate Prefecture, the Japanese Met Agency mentioned.
The 4:53 p.m. quake registered an higher 5 on the Japanese seismic depth scale of seven and occurred at a depth of 10 kilometers, in response to the Japan Meteorological Agency, state media Kyodo cited.
