TOKYO –
A bit of the Ken-O Expressway being prolonged in Chiba Prefecture to enhance entry to Narita Airport has been opened to the media forward of its scheduled completion.
The Chiba part between the Taiei Junction in Narita and the Matsuo-Yokoshiba Interchange is scheduled to open throughout fiscal 2026.
At a toll gate proven to reporters, cameras will permit employees to reply remotely when issues happen.
The extension is primarily meant to ease congestion in central Tokyo and enhance entry to Narita Airport. The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism and different authorities hope the mission will strengthen the airport’s worldwide competitiveness.
