JR East and PASMO introduced on November twenty fifth that they may introduce a brand new cellular cost operate known as ‘teppay’ for his or her Suica and PASMO smartphone apps, enabling barcode and QR code funds as a part of a broader growth of their digital companies.
Suica will start providing the service from autumn 2026, with PASMO to observe in spring 2027.
The new characteristic will enable customers to make funds by scanning barcodes and QR codes and also will allow cash transfers between Suica and PASMO customers.
