Japanese language college compelled to cease accepting college students over abuse

A Japanese language college in Fukuoka City, southwestern Japan, has been compelled to successfully cease accepting college students following an act of human rights abuse.

The Immigration Services Agency eliminated Nishinihon International Education Institute from its record of accredited Japanese language faculties for overseas learners. This is the primary time the company has taken the measure because it laid out the requirements for removing in 2016.

The company mentioned an official of the varsity chained himself to a Vietnamese scholar in his 20s within the academics’ room for a number of hours in October. It added that the scholar was saved below surveillance by officers the day after.

The company mentioned that on the time, the scholar and the establishment had been having issues concerning the scholar’s switch of colleges.

The college reportedly admitted to the incident. It informed the company that the official had acted on his personal accord, and mentioned he had meant it as a prank.

The company mentioned about 600 overseas nationals are finding out on the college. It mentioned it would instruct the establishment to assist the scholars switch to different faculties.
