Utsunomiya [Japan], January 4 (ANI):12 vehicles have been concerned in a multi-vehicle crash in jap Japan after tea leaves spilled from a shifting truck on a street triggered the automobiles behind it to skid, Kyodo News reported, citing the police.
As per Kyodo News, the accident occurred on a two-lane street in Sano, Tochigi Prefecture. It occurred after the tea leaves scattered over a 500-metre stretch of the street.
While 4 folks have been taken to the hospital, one in every of them was later confirmed useless.
According to the report by Kyodo News, the accidents of the three others weren’t life-threatening. The one that died was a 78-year-old from Saitama Prefecture, who was hit by an oncoming car after he stepped outdoors his truck, based on the police.
Kyodo News talked about that the truck, which was carrying the tea leaves, was travelling from Ashikaga towards Sano.
It talked about that whereas the precise time of the crash stays unclear, a person believed to have been concerned within the accident made an emergency name to police at round 5:40 a.m.
As per the report, the street was briefly closed after the accident.
The staff used heavy equipment and shovels to take away the moist tea leaves which had caught to the street. (ANI)
