SEOUL, Aug 12 (News On Japan) –
Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Koizumi, at present visiting South Korea, attended the Japan-China-South Korea Agriculture Ministers’ Meeting along with his Chinese and South Korean counterparts.
This was the primary assembly between the three nations in seven years. At the assembly, held in Incheon, South Korea, discussions centered on meals safety and local weather change. Minister Koizumi known as for cooperation amongst Japan, China, and South Korea in constructing cross-border quarantine methods, akin to these for avian influenza and foot-and-mouth illness.
Minister Koizumi acknowledged, “This opportunity for the agriculture ministers of Japan, China, and South Korea, who face similar climate and agricultural challenges, to gather together and frankly exchange views is extremely meaningful.”
