Sustainable aviation gasoline (SAF), produced from used cooking oil and different waste supplies, has been produced domestically in Japan for the primary time and provided to an plane.
The plane that includes the Expo 2025 mascot design, Myakumyaku, was the primary to obtain a provide of the domestically produced SAF.

JGC Holdings Executive Vice President Masanori Aijika acknowledged, “Changes in individual behavior—such as reusing cooking oil—are fundamental to domestically produced SAF. We want to spread this message across Japan.”
