TOKYO, Jan. 9 (Xinhua) — A tire of a Japan Airlines (JAL) passenger airplane went flat whereas touchdown at Tokyo’s Haneda Airport on Thursday, inflicting a runway on the airport to be briefly closed, native media reported.
One of the tires on the left foremost touchdown gear of the airplane, JAL Flight 182 from Komatsu Airport, Ishikawa Prefecture, went flat because it was touchdown on Runway B at Haneda Airport. None of the 65 passengers and crew had been injured, public broadcaster NHK reported.
The airplane touched down safely regardless of the complication at round 9:25 a.m. native time, the report mentioned.
The runway was closed for about 25 minutes, affecting no less than 15 flights, in line with the Tokyo airport workplace of the transport ministry.
