In December 2023, the physique of a person was found inside a suitcase alongside the banks of the Tamagawa River in Kawasaki City, Kanagawa Prefecture. Police have arrested 5 people, together with the person’s ex-girlfriend and her household, on suspicion of abandoning the physique.

Shogo Nishitaka (34), his sister Mai Nishitaka (32), and two different relations, together with Shuhei Iwaki (39), are suspected of putting the physique of Tadayuki Hara (46) into the suitcase and leaving it by the riverbank. The police report that Hara died of suffocation, together with his physique present in a big suitcase together with his limbs bent.

During police questioning, Mai Nishitaka denied the fees whereas the opposite 4 suspects have admitted to the allegations.
