Autumn foliage is drawing guests to Hokkaido’s 2,291-meter Mount Asahidake within the Taisetsusan mountain vary, the best peak in Japan’s northernmost prefecture.

Leaves close to the summit started altering shade in mid-September, about two weeks later than regular.

The pink and yellow leaves are actually finest for viewing within the space across the 1,300-meter mark.

Weather officers say the season’s first snowcap was noticed on the height on Wednesday, about 9 days later than regular.

The autumn leaves may be loved by mid-October.
