Himachal monsoon toll climbs to 310; losses cross Rs 2623 crores, says State Disaster Management Authority

Shimla (Himachal Pradesh) [India], August 27 (ANI): The ongoing monsoon season has wreaked unprecedented havoc throughout Himachal Pradesh, leaving 310 folks lifeless and inflicting huge injury to life, property, and infrastructure.

According to the Himachal Pradesh State Disaster Management Authority (SDMA), the toll from June 20 to August 27 contains 158 rain-related deaths from landslides, flash floods, cloudbursts, drowning, electrocution, and different weather-triggered incidents, and 152 fatalities in street accidents throughout the identical interval.

The State Emergency Operations Centre (SEOC) cumulative injury report reveals the dimensions of destruction, with 369 folks injured, 38 lacking, and losses to public property estimated at over Rs. 2,62,336 lakh. Kullu has reported 13 deaths every in rain-related and street accident classes.
